I hope you are not reading this
thinking I’m happy all the time.
I hope you do not take in my photos
and lose your self worth.
The truth is its a moment fleeting
and to compare our lives would be unkind.
For now I feel content-
Like turning this moment into something
I can remember.
Inspiration takes work,
and only you can decide if you have the time.
Why aren’t we more honest about what makes us sad?
Everything I am
is a reflection
of who I’ve known
of who I’ve loved
of where I’ve been
and where I’ve yet to go.
I am a reflection of you.
What do you see?
I find it interesting
that when you are traveling
an unknown route,
the distance feels intimidating,
almost endless…
But when you finally decide
to turn around,
you find you haven’t really
gone that far at all.
